When Nintendo unveiled the 3DS at the E3, we were told “the design isn’t final, but have a go anyway”. After having a go I was excited. The specifications were spot on, and the design not being final set my imagination on fire: maybe it’ll be in the shape of a NES control pad with a screen; maybe it would look like the old tamagotchis; maybe it would be a full face helmet that covers your entire head where you can look around games like in the real world.

The 3DS will have 3 cameras: one on the inside (looking at the player) and two on the outside. This means that when you take a photo with the 2 on the outside, you will take a photo with each camera at the same time, creating a 3D photo. You can also adjust the level of 3D depth before you take the photo.

Today, at the E3 Expo, Nintendo unveil the Nintendo 3DS, a portable system that lets people view games in 3D without the need for special glasses.
